Job Description

Here at QUADIGI we provide software development and testing services for safety and medical devices. In particular we specialize in application and embedded software development for lung ventilation, anesthesia, breathalyzers, gas detectors and other similar devices used by emergency services as well as industrial workers all over the world.

Join an international team developing embedded software for Breathing Apparatus (BA) 6 life-critical respiratory protection equipment used during emergency operations.

The BA Monitoring Platform powers two of Dre4ger's flagship safety devices: the PSS AirBoss, one of the lightest and most ergonomic self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) designed for firefighting, and the BG ProAir, a closed-circuit breathing apparatus (CCBA) built for longer-duration deployments in the most demanding environments.

You will be part of a cross-site team spanning Lithuania, Germany, and the UK, working on an established platform that supports a growing portfolio of emergency response safety products.

You will work on embedded software development across the Emergency and Rescue Services product portfolio, contributing to both ongoing platform maintenance and new feature integration. The role includes embedded software development on an existing platform, as well as:

  • Unit testing and manual bench testing as an integral part of your development workflow
  • Debugging at the system level 6 including the use of measurement equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes to trace issues down to hardware signal level
  • Daily collaboration with international and cross-discipline teams in electronics development, systems engineering, and validation
  • Active participation in code reviews, following clean code principles and coding guidelines
  • Maintaining Python scripts and basic tooling to support development and testing activities
  • Contributing to software documentation and verification activities

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of the interaction between embedded software and hardware
  • Comfortable debugging not just in code but hands-on at the system level using measurement equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and soldering irons
  • Experience with unit testing in embedded projects
  • Familiarity with RTOS environments
  • Openness to AI-assisted development methods
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Agile/Scrum way of working is familiar to you

Nice to have

  • Zephyr experience is a plus
  • Python scripting experience is a plus
