Job Description

As Engineering Manager for the Starship team in the Vinted Go Network domain, you will lead a team of engineers building and scaling the systems that power Vinted's shipping network. The team owns technology that powers shipment orchestration, post-order endpoints, and Network Admin panel configuration, enabling effective shipping network utilisation as Vinted Go expands.

You’ll join Vinted Go, the logistics arm of Vinted, focused on making shipping more affordable, convenient, and reliable across Europe and beyond. The Network domain works on the foundations behind carrier integrations, shipping orchestration, service availability, partner workflows, tracking, claims, fraud prevention, and the tools needed to operate a large and growing network across markets.

You'll work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, decision scientists, business, operations, and partner-facing teams. You'll report into senior engineering leadership, stay close to technical decisions, and create the conditions for your team to deliver high-quality outcomes in a complex, fast-moving logistics domain.

  • Drive the team's delivery against the product roadmap, support quarterly planning, and ensure timely and effective execution.
  • Stay close to technical details so the team can build reliable, scalable systems for the Vinted Go Network domain.
  • Lead technical initiatives that improve shipping orchestration, carrier integrations, service availability, partner workflows, or other network capabilities.
  • Partner closely with Product to shape discovery, prioritisation, and technical sequencing for future development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, decision science, operations, business, and partner-facing teams to solve high-impact shipping and logistics problems.
  • Build and maintain a team of people who trust each other, are committed and accountable, and care about meaningful results.
  • Support engineers' growth through coaching, feedback, clear expectations, and thoughtful technical leadership.
  • Continuously improve team health, delivery practices, and engineering standards while fostering an inclusive environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in product, platform, backend, or similarly complex technical environments.
  • Skilled at building high-performing teams, setting clear scope, managing priorities, and successfully driving delivery.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, with a focus on coaching, growth, and long-term development of team members.
  • Comfortable facilitating technical conversations across engineers, product, operations, data, business, and wider stakeholders.
  • Able to drive clarity in ambiguous domains and turn complex product or operational problems into focused engineering work.
  • Strong understanding of how to balance delivery speed, reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Adaptable and resilient in fast-moving environments with changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, able to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels.

Nice to have

  • Advantage: experience with logistics, shipping, marketplace platforms, carrier integrations, or partner-facing systems.
