Job Description

We’re a team of 500+ professionals who develop cutting-edge proxy and web data scraping solutions for thousands of the world’s best known businesses, including Fortune 500 companies.

What’s in store for you:

  • You’ll be solving complex challenges and maintaining our own infrastructure with 60PB+ monthly data traffic. Here are its scale and maturity in numbers:
  • 6PB+ Ceph storage
  • 60PB+ monthly data traffic through our systems
  • 300k+ service requests/sec processed
  • 500k+ Kafka messages/sec streamed

The team waiting for you:

  • Our Ecom squad is responsible for delivering high-quality data to power the world's leading AI, e-commerce, and advertisement companies.
  • As a Squad Lead, you will take on the critical function of shaping the future of our data delivery, forming and molding the team as you see fit to achieve greatness.
  • You are joining us at a time when we are focused on scaling our impact, meaning you will have the autonomy to mentor the next generation of scraping engineers.
  • Your ultimate challenge will be acting as the guardian of our operational excellence - ensuring top-tier data quality, an exceptional developer experience, and rock-solid stability for all the squad's services.

In this role, you will:

  • Apply our leadership principles to guide your team and drive results.
  • Lead sprint planning, create and refine JIRA backlogs, and estimate ETAs to ensure clear alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Prioritize issues based on business value and actively prevent scope creep to maintain the team's focus on high-impact work.
  • Drive strategic OKR planning by suggesting product initiatives, gathering supporting evidence, and collaborating with stakeholders to align objectives with company goals.
  • Foster a motivating, burnout-free team culture by managing workload distribution and mentoring team members for continuous growth.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, optimize Agile workflows, and resolve daily roadblocks to ensure the team builds for speed and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Practical background in software development combined with experience in leading technical teams (a servant leadership approach is highly valued).
  • Solid understanding of web development fundamentals, system design, HTML, JavaScript, and REST APIs (you won't need to write code daily, but a strong technical understanding is essential).
  • Hands-on experience with GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and software deployment processes.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills with a pragmatic, data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Resilience and curiosity, with the ability to thrive in a hybrid, international setting where team members may work remotely.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of any back-end language (e.g., Python, Go).
  • Experience with web scraping (we will train you if you don't have it).

Company offers

  • Growth & Learning: 40+ internal learning options, external conferences, mentorship, and year-round knowledge-sharing.
  • Health & Well-being: Private health insurance, psychotherapy, on-site well-being consultants, 24/7 gym access, and a wellness app.
  • Celebration & Community: Team events, an overseas workation, quarterly team-building budgets, and plenty of ways to mark milestones together.
  • Plus bonus vacation days, paid life-moment days off, barista coffee, and all the tools you need.
