Job Description
About the role
This is not a startup BU. It's an established, revenue-generating unit already delivering ~€1M in annual revenue and €200K+ in profit, with a strong, existing client portfolio. This is agency-defining scale, and we're looking for the strongest possible recruitment leaders to take it further. Our current Business Unit Heads are being deliberately freed up to focus on group-wide growth initiatives across AFR, which is exactly why we need exceptional, ambitious operators ready to step in and own this level of business at full intensity.
This role demands relentless focus on both ends of the growth equation: building a strong team of recruitment consultants as well as staying hands-on in daily sales activity, because at this scale, sustained hunting and farming both matters, every single day.
Ownership. Ambition. Nothing less.
We're not hiring someone to manage what already exists. We're hiring someone who sees themselves as a creator of this organization, who treats a strong BU as a starting line, not a finish line.
Mission
The Head of Business Unit takes full ownership of an established, revenue-generating Business Unit, driving its profit, growth and long-term health, by winning new business, deepening existing client relationships and leading a high-performing team of recruitment professionals to consistently exceed targets.

• Ensuring the BU is always fully loaded through a combination of personal sales, strategic account development, and disciplined nurturing of the existing client base.
• Building and defending genuinely strategic relationships with key clients, becoming the trusted advisor they turn to first when building winning teams, not just a transactional vendor.
• Initiating and driving timely hiring and exit processes to keep the team performing at its peak.
• Acting as a visible, credible member of the management team, shaping AFR's business and culture through public and personal communication, leading by example, and giving direct, honest feedback.
