Manufacturing Director

As Director of Operations at Pon.Bike Lithuania, part of the global bicycle leader Pon.Bike, you will join the Management Team and report directly to the Managing Director of Pon.Bike Lithuania (PBL). You will have full accountability for delivering on budgeted KPIs, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring operational excellence across all functions.

Leading and developing a team of 5 direct reports and approximately 270 employees, you will drive performance, implement strategic initiatives, optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and strong leadership throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team (Warehouse, Paint shop, Assembly, Industrial Engineering, and Maintenance);
• Analyze daily KPIs and implement improvements to meet agreed commitments (quantity, daily output) according to the S&OP (MPS) cycle;
• Manage production expenses according to the budget;
• EH&S improvements in the production area;
• Production meetings ownership;
• Participate in the common activities with PBL and the rest of the company (PBL strategy, budget, outlook, CI, business review, Capex, other projects);
• Annual goals for the production team;
• Organize and maintain daily/weekly/monthly, annual assessments, and implement improvements (Lean tools as 5S, Gemba walk, SPS …);
• Accountable for the NPI process (bike handover);
• All equipment service management;
• Ensure smooth production (quality/quantity) and build a strong team (skills/attitude) in a new factory environment.

• A bachelor's degree in management, technical studies, logistics, etc. 
• Experience working with production teams as well as engineering teams responsible for launching the new product in production. 
• Good operational awareness of machinery and processes, with the ability to act effectively in urgent situations.
• Solid LEAN knowledge with practical experience in production and the possibility to engage the team with the LEAN approach. 
• Independent, entrepreneurial, and critical personality with your own initiative for improvement and optimization.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills in both Lithuanian and English.
• Good knowledge of the principles of managing, coaching, motivating, and influencing employees; leadership experience of leading managers is required.
