The Housing Assistant manages all aspects of the housing commissioning, decommissioning, and make-ready processes, as well as the move-in and pre-departure inspections for each housing unit in the Mission's housing pool. In this capacity, the incumbent directs the workflow of third-party contractors conducting work on residences, holds them accountable, and accepts or rejects their work. Additionally, the Housing Assistant serves as the lead contact for housing occupants regarding maintenance and other housing tasks. The incumbent must deliver excellent customers service to all housing occupants via email, myServices, and face-to-face interactions. The incumbent also oversees all housing records for accuracy, including the housing files, data in the Real Property Application, and the summer make-ready schedule. The Housing Assistant suggests improvements to enhance the quality of Embassy housing and make the section run more efficiently. The incumbent serves as Housing Assistant and reports to the Housing Supervisor. The Housing Assistant backs up the Housing Supervisor to address lease issues and assist with housing board deliberations.
Requirements:
All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a security certificate.
All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Education Requirements:
At least two (2) years of College or University studies is required.

Qualifications:
Experience: Two years of administrative work experience in a business or government office.
Language: Good working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking) is required. Fluent knowledge of Lithuanian (reading, writing, speaking) is required.
Skills And Abilities: The incumbent must have the ability to use office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The incumbent must have a valid Class B driver's license for a minimum of five (5) years.
