On behalf of our long-term client, one of the leading foreign-capital companies in the tail lift industry, we are looking for a bright, commercially driven, and technically capable professional for the role of Sales Engineer to expand the subcontracting business for welded steel components in Šiauliai.
Your daily tasks, responsibilities and duties at work would be:
- Identify and acquire new OEM and Tier-1 customers across industries such as construction, agriculture, industrial equipment, and renewable energy;
- Manage incoming RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and participate in European sourcing and tender projects;
- Review technical drawings and specifications, ensuring feasibility with engineering and production teams;
- Calculate manufacturing costs, including materials, laser cutting, bending, welding, surface treatment, and logistics;
- Prepare and submit commercial quotations, conduct negotiations, and support contract closure;
- Coordinate prototype and sample production, including validation and customer approval;
- Ensure smooth transition from prototype to serial production;
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
Key skills and competencies:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent experience;
- 3–8 years of experience in technical sales, project management, or business development within manufacturing;
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, including laser cutting, CNC bending, robotic welding, and surface treatment (coating, painting);
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD data;
- Experience with cost calculation and quotation processes in manufacturing;
- Strong commercial mindset combined with solid technical understanding;
- Ability to translate customer requirements into manufacturable solutions;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Structured approach to RFQ management and project coordination;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams;
- Fluent in English (required); German is highly desirable; Scandinavian languages are an advantage.
