Software Engineer - Fabric

Job Description

Support and monitor Power BI / Fabric solutions focusing on customer service and troubleshooting issues.

  • Assist in the administration of Moody’s Fabric tenant, including user management and security controls.
  • Configure and manage on-premises data gateways and related tools.
  • Support report lifecycle management and solution deployments.
  • Administer and maintain JFrog Artifactory repositories (local, remote, virtual).
  • Manage repository permissions, access tokens, and RBAC for Artifactory.
  • Support CI/CD integrations with Artifactory for build artifact storage and promotion.
  • Monitor Artifactory performance, storage, cleanup policies, and retention strategies.
  • Troubleshoot Artifactory issues related to pipelines, package resolution, and metadata.
  • Configure Artifactory proxies, replication, security scans, and Xray policies.
  • Implement best practices for artifact lifecycle management and governance.
  • Collaborate with team members to establish secure and reliable solutions across Power BI / Fabric and Artifactory platform.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics using Power BI.
  • Integrate Artifactory solutions with external systems and APIs, including custom connections.
  • Utilize version control systems (e.g., GitHub) for code and solution management.
  • Participate in solution lifecycle management, including deployment pipelines (CI/CD), rollback, and versioning.
  • Apply automated testing and debugging practices to ensure solution quality and performance.
  • Implement security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), data privacy, and compliance with enterprise standards.
  • Stay current with security and compliance requirements for cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Document processes and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver fixes and solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional team projects and updating stakeholders.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs (e.g., Fabric previews & Frontier program).
  • Stay up to date with new features and best practices in Power BI / Fabric, Artifactory, and related technologies.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in customer support and working on a support team.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to complex Power BI / Fabric issues.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI / Fabric platform and tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to complex Artifactory issues.
  • Familiarity with Artifactory platform and tools.
  • Experience with data connections and standard/premium connectors.
  • Understanding of on-premises data gateway setup and management.
  • General knowledge of networking, Microsoft Office, Azure Services, and ServiceNow.
  • Basic to intermediate programming skills (JavaScript, C#, Python) for custom development and automation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub) and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business analytics.

  • Annual base salary gross:2,200.00 to70,800.00.
