The Market & Liquidity Risk Department at Danske Bank invites applicants for the Senior Quantitative Analyst position in Model Validation team, covering Wealth Management.
We are one of Europe’s leading financial institutions with approx. half a trillion Euro in assets. Our wealth management arm includes Danica, one of Scandinavia’s largest pension and insurance companies. This area of asset management, insurance and pensions is experiencing increasing use of advanced mathematical models.

Our team is responsible for independent validation, including researching, analysing, testing and evaluating the underlying theory, mathematical methods and numerical implementation. Our team among other things covers models applied for calculating solvency capital requirements, technical provisions, Value-at-Risk for investments and valuation of alternative investments. We are based in offices in Denmark (Copenhagen) and Lithuania (Vilnius). We work very closely with the business and so travel to Copenhagen should be anticipated.
Requirements
- Masters or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering)
- Some experience in developing or validating models within the financial services industry
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly and intuitively, both written and orally to internal and external stakeholders
- Fluency in English (Danish/Lithuanian not required)
