Job Description

Manufacturing company is looking for a candidate to lead the newly established Shared Service Centre (SSC) in Kaunas. The candidate will have the unique opportunity to be involved in setting up and growing a shared services operation from the early start. Main tasks will include involvement in the initial staffing of the centre, managing the knowledge transfer into the new entity as well as running the operations. In the beginning, the centre will focus on providing accounting services, with the potential to further grow the scope into other areas as well. The role has the opportunity to move into the management board of the entity in mid- to long-term perspective.

Job responsibilities: 

The ideal candidate will be integral in providing business leadership to build up the newly founded shared services organization and to drive process transformation in our transactional activities. A comprehensive training period will allow for a good understanding of the company and major stakeholder before the candidate take over her/his responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for running the shared services operation (incl. resources , delivery performance, budgets, costs)
  • Develop the SSC in Kaunas in close cooperation with the group project lead
  • Preparation and management of the knowledge transfer from our local entities into the shared service centre
  • Involvement in hiring new employees to fit the team (from team lead to junior accountant)
  • Leading the change process, driving continuous improvement and service excellence
  • Ensure overall Service Delivery according to agreed KPIs
  • Build a customer-oriented culture in the SSC, constant focus on improving the service delivery
  • Own the decision making and prioritization on the SSC daily operations
  • Ensure that all activities and the FTE deployment is consistent with the requirements addressed towards the SSC
  • Lead, motivate and develop the shared services teams. Ensure supervision of the tasks executed by the employees
  • Drive active discussions with our governance team & process owners, incl. identification of further grow areas for the service centre
  • Participate in the development and execution of training
  • Participate in the transition activities to the extent required

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a similar leadership role within international environment
  • Excellent understanding of the critical success factors for setting up and running the SSC as a reliable, effective and efficient business service provider 
  • Business acumen and service provider thinking
  • Budget, cost & performance management
  • Proven track record in leading change
  • Proven people management and development skills
  • Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required
  • International mind-set and willing to travel
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability and confidence to operate at senior levels with company stakeholders
