Strategic Staffing Solutions International client is currently expanding its operations in Vilnius office and is looking for:
Big Data Support Analyst

You responsibilities will include:
• Implementation and ongoing administration of Hadoop infrastructure.
• Working with data delivery teams to setup new Hadoop users. This job includes setting up Linux users, setting up Kerberos principals and testing HDFS, Hive, Pig and MapReduce access for the new users.
• Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes using tools like Ganglia, Nagios, Cloudera Manager Enterprise.
• Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Hadoop MapReduce routines.
• Screen Hadoop cluster job performances and capacity planning.
• Monitoring Hadoop cluster connectivity and security.
• Managing and reviewing Hadoop log files.
• File system management and monitoring.
• Collaborating with IT OPs teams to install operating system and Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades when required.
• Aligning with the architecture team to propose and deploy new hardware and software environments required for Hadoop and to expand existing environments.
• Liaising with third party software vendors for addressing issues (example -Cloudera).

• Working experience using HDFS, Cloudera’s Distribution including Apache Hadoop (CDH).
• Experience with Hadoop and related technologies (examples- Pig, Hive, Impala, Scoop, Sparks, Fume, Oozie, FLume etc).
• Knowledge of Networking protocols (TCP/IP).
• Basic Operating System and Hardware knowledge.
• Experience managing huge number of machines in cluster.
• Experience OS and network when configuring and troubleshooting systems, which is an important part of Hadoop administration.
• Working experience working with Configuration management tools (example - Cloudera manager).
• Strong problem solving/analytical skills and sharp technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to facilitate issues with Development and Support.
• Strong willingness to learn new things and share them with others.
• Effective communication in English (verbal and written).
• Ready to work in shifts.
