Job Description
- Daily system administration/maintenance support on Windows, Linux and UNIX-based environments in client/server, network and data storage capacities;
- Assure a high level of reliability and performance through systems monitoring and infrastructure management
- Convert and upgrade to new systems
- Maintain and grow your technical competence in multiple areas (such as Windows, Linux, virtualization, User Authentication, DNS, NFS, system imaging/build automation)
- Assist in developing the overall performance and capability of your technical team through mentoring and knowledge sharing
- Apply technical processes to solve complex problems;
- Work within an Agile development process.
- Coordinate with project work teams to ensure adherence to policies, achievement of quality targets and delivery on schedule milestones.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in related fields or technologies to this job description
- Strong experience troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems and Applications
- Strong experience working as part of a team collaborating on problem resolution
- Experience with data storage and data backup technologies
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong knowledge of virtual computing technologies
- Good understanding of fundamental TCP/IP concepts
- Scripting / programming experience
- Strong understanding of fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
- SQL skills, general database administration;
