DUTIES:
Interpreter/Translator serves as the primary professional interpreter for the Ambassador and the Deputy Chief of Mission, and as required by other American members of the Embassy. Incumbent is the responsible official translator (English/Lithuanian/English) for materials in a great variety of subject matter fields (legal, economic, scientific, military, non-technical and technical) which require specialized terminology, for the State Department and associated agencies. Assists Protocol Assistants in arranging appointments and preparing invitations and all aspects of official representational events when necessary.
