We are now recruiting a Regional Manager for our Eastern Europe and Central Asia regional team. The position is based at our regional office in Vilnius, Lithuania, but this is a position where you collaborate with our partners in the region and beyond, with the Head Office in Sweden and our global organization, with offices in Colombia, Kenya, Liberia, and Cambodia. You will be part of the global management team and contribute to the strategic development of ForumCiv as well as build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders.

As a Regional Manager your responsibilities are to

  • Contribute to the strategic development of ForumCiv  
  • Manage the employees and the daily operations  
  • Strategic leadership of the office
  • Innovation, program development, and fundraising  
  • Program management regionally and nationally, planning and monitoring
  • Development of the member platform in the region including contact with members, method development and context analysis  
  • Capacity-building  
  • Communication and networking on a regional and national level  
  • Finance, Risk & Security Management and HR  
  • Build and maintain relationships between local/regional/international stakeholders within the Eastern Europe region  
  • Represent ForumCiv  Eastern Europe Office
  • Keeping track of major political and social developments in the Eastern Europe region

Profile

We place great importance on your competencies, leadership skills and personality. We are looking for a university graduate, with a degree in the field of political or social sciences, development studies, law, economy or similar. A background in the aid development sector, senior level. You demonstrate strong leadership skills, have documented experience relevant for the position, and speak and write proficiently in Russian and English, knowing Lithuanian is seen as a merit.  

  • Strong in collaboration, communication and leadership. We are looking for a manager that is interested in people and employee development.
  • Good understanding of the aid/development sector and experience of working and supporting civil society
  • You demonstrate high integrity/ethics in dealing with internal and external counterparties as well as having the ability to set priorities and create focus on accomplishing set objectives
  • Solution-oriented and inclusive, skills in relationship building
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in Russian and English.  
  • The ability to communicate in Lithuanian is a merit

About the position

The position is employed and located at ForumCiv's office in Vilnius and employment conditions are in accordance with Lithuanian laws, that is why EU-citizenship or EU-work permit is required for this employment.

This is full-time, permanent employment starting with a probationary period of three months as soon as possible.

The position requires travel to the Head Office in Sweden, ForumCiv’s international offices and field trips to partner organizations and other trips within the region.
